Nearly one-fourth of the money needed for the planned expansion of Jackson's White Smith Memorial Library has been collected. To date, donations total approximately $240,000 for the project, which will add 6,000 square feet to the existing building and include the renovation of the original part of the building. More ... The earthquake registered at 3.1 on the Richter scale and was centered seven miles west of Coffeeville, just north of Bladon Springs in Choctaw County.
