Will you give God's love this Christmas?

Luke 2:11-13 "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying… (verse 20) …and the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them."

Two thousand years ago a champion was born! This Christmas champion was unlike any other champion born into the world. He has always existed and will never be defeated! His name is JESUS!

The shepherds who went to see the new born baby that first Christmas would change the course of history. It was God's "love" gift to a lost and dying humanity. God's love goes far greater than we can begin to comprehend or to understand.

Years ago, a man was thought to be insane by family and friends, was finally put into a mental institution. His room was often dark and cold. It was not very large, simply small and narrow. He finally died and when the workers came to clear out his belongings, they saw these words pinned on the wall: "Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade. To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry. Nor could the scroll contain the whole, tho stretched by sky to sky. O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall for evermore endure the saints' and angels' song. The love of God is greater far, tongue or pen can ever tell, It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell."

God is love! He showed us love by giving His beloved Son to die for the sins of the world! Above everything you give and do this Christmas will you give God's love?
