Domestic disturbance leads to bust
By Evan Carden SA Editor

A couple landed in jail on drug possession charges following a domestic disturbance call to the Royal Inn on U.S. 43 in Jackson, Saturday, Dec. 8.

According to Jackson Police reports, dispatch received a call around 8:42 p.m. that a fight was taking place in Room 333 of the motel. Officers Ben Marshall and Rudy O'Neal responded to the call.

When the officers arrived they repeatedly attempted to get a response from the couple inside, who were identified as Rochelle Lotoya McAdoo, 26, of Wagarville and Laquinton Kenyatta Denson, 26, of Whatley. After some time, officers finally gained entry into the room and observed what appeared to be two pieces of crack cocaine in the toilet.

Officer Ben Marshall utilized a field test kit to confirm that the substance was indeed crack cocaine. During a further search of the room, officers found four more pieces of the same drug wrapped inside a piece of bathroom tissue and an additional two pieces inside a medicine bottle.

McAdoo and Denson were arrested and booked into the Clarke County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
