Blankenship, Lankford named Leadership Ambassadors

Lacey Blankenship, Amanda Belsom and Bryan Lankford.
Lacey Blankenship, daughter of Marcia and Brian Blankenship of St. Stephens, and Bryan Lankford, son of Myra and Dink Lankford of Wagarville, have been chosen as Leadership Ambassadors at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Leadership ambassadors are a select group of leadership scholars who have proven themselves inside and outside of the classroom. To be named a leadership ambassador, leadership scholars are nominated by their leadership seminar instructors based on their performance in their first semester at Southern Miss.

Typically, 12 students are chosen from the new leadership class that consists of 150-175 leadership scholars. Those chosen serve one-year terms. As an ambassador, they assist the leadership seminar instructors with teaching the class, planning and executing the leadership retreat for the new leadership scholars, mentoring the students in their leadership classes and facilitating the leadership series during the fall semester.

Blankenship and Lankford are both 2007 graduates of Leroy High School.
