Gillmore students contribute to Salvation Army

The "Jingle Bell Sisters", Jan South, Mary Ann Lee, Merline Rocker and Terri McHargue.
The November character education word of the month for Gillmore Elementary students was "generosity".

Gillmore students collected $761 for the Salvation Army. The drive, sponsored by the Media Center and the Guidance Department, featured stories and lessons about giving to those in need.

Team leaders were Mary Anne Lee, Terri McHargue, Merline Rocker and Jan South. Cammie Breedlove's class donated the most, giving more than $100.

The winning McHargue team was entertained by "The Jingle Bell Sisters", made up of team leaders. The dances were choreographed by Terri McHargue. Students were rewarded for their generosity by a sing-along with guitarist and entertainer Bro. Bob Dean of Bigbee.
