Eagles sweep Marion
JA varsity boys and girls earn first win

Jackson Academy picked up their first win in boys and girls varsity basketball with a clean sweep over the Marion Panthers Friday in Jackson,

Varsity Boys

JA 41, Marion 23

Jackson Academy's varsity boys knocked off the Marion Panthers 41-23 Friday, Nov. 30 in Jackson.

Wesley Harris led the Eagles with 17 points. David Hughston added 10 to round out the top scorers for the Eagles.

Varsity Girls

JA 67, Marion 18

The Jackson Academy Lady Eagles routed Marion Academy 67-18.

Evin Bowling led all scorers with 28 points. Maggie Bowling chipped in with 12 and Kayla Lowery added 9 for the Lady Eagles.

"I thought we played well. We have shown so improvement, we just need to keep working hard," Lady Eagle coach Mike Garrett said.

•The boys and girls teams traveled to Patrician Academy on Tuesday (Dec. 4). They head to Greensboro Friday and Saturday (Dec. 7-8) to take part in the Southern Academy Tournament.
