Batleys to celebrate 50th anniversary

Clyde and Mary Louise Batley of Miller's Ferry, formerly of Leroy, will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Dec. 9, 2-4 p.m. at the Kimbell House in Jackson. The couple was married Dec. 20, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Chatom by the Rev. Mack Jones Sr.
The former Mary Louise Strickland of Chatom, Mrs. Batley is the daughter of the late Honor and Mary Ethel Strickland. Mr. Batley is the son of the late William and Euplenia Batley.
The couple's children, Kim (Kathy) Batley, Cary (Shannon) Batley, David (Darla) Batley and Dina (Clay) Pearce, 11 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren will host the anniversary celebration.
