Appreciates help from Jackson police officer
Dear Editor,

Just recently, when I got off work, I was just getting into my truck when I received a distress call on my cell phone.

My daughter was stranded at the intersection of North 177 and Highway 43. Her vehicle went dead and wouldn't start. When I arrived at the scene, I found my daughter, my wife who had called earlier, and Officer Jonathan Downey.

Not only did Officer Downey control traffic, he reassured my daughter that everything would be okay.

After I got the car started and the three of us moved our vehicles to the Shell station, Officer Downey stopped by to make sure everything was okay. I would like to thank Officer Downy again for his great community service.
