Ninth anniversary

at Old St. Matthew

The Rev. Tommy Williams, associate minister at St. Luke Baptist Church in Walker Springs, will be the guest speaker for the ninth anniversary of the Rev. C.C. McCants as a solo singer at the Old St. Matthew Baptist Church No. 2. The celebration at the church in the Lilly Valley community of Choctaw Bluff will be an event of Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.

All groups, choirs and soloists are invited to register and sing an A & B selection. The theme will be "O, sing unto the Lord a new song: for He hath done marvelous things." Psalm 98:1. Refreshments will be served.

'Wondrous Gift' and 'Once

Upon a Miracle' at

First Baptist of Jackson

The adult choir at the First Baptist Church of Jackson will be presenting a Christmas musical entitled "Wondrous Gift" on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9 at 6 p.m.

"Once Upon a Miracle" will be performed by the senior adult choir Sunday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m.

A candlelit Lord's Supper will also be shared on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

Sixth anniversary celebration

The Word of Truth Fellowship Church family will honor Pastors Marcus and Belinda Kelley at their sixth anniversary Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2:30 p.m. The celebration will include praise, worship and revelatory teaching. The guest speaker and special guests will be Pastor David Fuller and his congregation.

Friday singing at Antioch

Antioch Baptist Church will host a singing on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. Terry Hall of Tennessee will be the featured singer. The Rev. Lon Baxter, pastor, invites everyone to attend.

Pastor resigns at

Witch Creek Baptist

The Rev. Curtis Thomas is resigning as pastor of the Witch Creek Baptist Church as of Dec. 2. A covered dish luncheon will be hosted following the 11 a.m. service in appreciation of his service. Members and friends of the church are invited to attend.

Third year appreciation at

New St. Matthew

A celebration will be honoring the third year appreciation of Pastor Kevin and Minister Rosharon Boykin at the New St. Matthew Baptist Church of the Lily Valley community of Jackson. It will be an event of Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Wilson Gibby and the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Wainwright as the guest speaker and special guests. The Rev. Boykin invites the community to the gathering.

Chuck Lane ministers at

HIS Vineyard

Edens Rain sings at

Rockville Baptist

Pastor Mark Dunn of the Rockville Baptist Church announces that Edens Rain will include Jackson on their 2007 Christmas Tour. The duo, Shannon Gryska and Leila Holley, daughter of Jackson residents Mr. and Mrs. Warren Tarleton, will sing at the church on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 10:45 a.m.

Victory Grove

Victory Grove Church in Wagarville will be hosting a singing Sunday, Dec. 2 with Jerry Bennett of Tennessee. Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Glenn Sullivan invites all to attend.

Bolentown Petecostal

celebrates 9th anniversary

Vicki and Bill Sky, the Sullivan Family and many more will help to celebrate the 9th anniversary of the Bolentown Pentecostal Church Sunday, Dec. 2, 2-4 p.m. The Rev. Darrell Lloyd will bring the message. For additional information call 246- 4553 or 246-9030.

Musicians appreciation at

St. James A.M.E.

Pastor Clausell Boykin of St. James A.M.E. Church in Choctaw Bluff invites all groups, choirs and soloists to a musicians appreciation gathering Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:30 p.m.

The Rev. Matthew Davis, pastor of St. Peter Baptist in Allen, will be the speaker.

HIS Vineyard has

second give-away

Many people have been blessed with much needed clothing as a result of the first Free Clothes Give-Away at HIS Vineyard. With contributions continuing, a second give-away has been scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1.

Those wishing to contribute clothing items may drop them off at Flowertown next to the church at 1070 Coffeeville Road. For additional information call Christina Havard at 246-9746 or Terri Jordan at 251-404-0577 to make arrangements for pickup.
