The Jackson Ministerial Association will be hosting a community Thanksgiving service Tuesday, Nov. 20, 6:30 p.m. at the Jackson First United Methodist Church, 146 College Ave., Jackson.

An offering will be taken for the Jackson Ministerial Association Benevolent Fund. The fund is maintained to assist travelers through Jackson who may need help with meals, gas or lodging. During the past year the association has given assistance in the amount of $827.15.

A Thanksgiving service will be celebrated in Sage Auditorium at the Clarke County High School on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. A choir consisting of members from a number of local churches will sing and the Rev. David Moore, the pastor of Magnolia Assembly of God, will be speaking.
