GH Citizen of theYear
Terry Norris, left, was honored Nov. 1 as Grove Hill's Citizen of the Year. Presenting her with a plaque following a program at the Grove Hill United Methodist Church is Rachel Lindsey, who nominated her for the Grove Hill Civitan Club award. Norris is active in the community and was one of the early organizers and promoters of the Grove Hill Arts Council that led efforts to create a mural on the Courthouse Square. The recently completed mural will be dedicated Saturday at 10 a.m. during the Pioneer Day festivities. Janice Malone and others spoke of Norris' work during the program. Malone, a co-worker in the Clarke County Revenue Commissioner's office, said, "Every time somebody asks her to do something, she immediately says yes - without finding out the details. She has worked to make Grove Hill a better place."
