Shepherd performs at Fall Festival
Leroy resident Ashton Shepherd, who recently signed a major recording deal with Universal Music Group under the MCA label in Nashville, Tenn., performed at the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce's Annual Fall Festival Saturday, Nov. 3. In addition to singing, Shepherd, who grew up in Coffeeville, writes the songs she performs. She says her biggest influences are the old country stars. She has opened for a number of wellknown artists and recently appeared on the Grand Ole' Opry.
