Coffeeville police chief in the right place at right time

While traveling to work Friday, Nov. 2, Chief Clint Harrell was driving north on U.S. 43 in Jackson when he received an All Points Bulletin for a black Tahoe with silver rims occupied by three white males.

Harrell noticed a vehicle matching the description approximately four cars in front of him. He called for backup from Jackson Police and followed the vehicle. The vehicle pulled into the Murphy Oil Station on Walker Springs Road. He was also informed that one of the passengers, Chris Orso of Mobile, was wanted on federal drug charges.

Officer Darrell Jackson of the Jackson Police Department arrived as the vehicle was leaving the gas station parking lot. Jackson, Harrell and Chief Investigator Ron Baggett of the Clarke County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop at the Church of Christ parking lot, north of Jackson.

Orso was identified as the backseat passenger and was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest for possession with intent to distribute ecstacy.
