Terri McHargue's first grade class recently completed a unit on community service and helpers. The unit ended with a field trip to city hall, the police station, nursing home and a picnic in the pumpkin patch at the Jackson First United Methodist Church. The class was one of the first two school classes to tour the new police station. Above, class members meet Mayor Richard Long.
