Two injured in four-vehicle wreck
Two people were injured in a four-vehicle wreck which occurred Thursday, Oct. 18, at the intersection of Highway 69 and U.S. 43. According to Jackson Police, the crash occurred when a 2003 Jeep Liberty (bottom photo, right), driven by Ashley Ann Overstreet, 17, of Grove Hill attempted to turn from the exit ramp on Highway 69 onto U.S. 43 and apparently failed to yield to northbound traffic. Overstreet's vehicle was struck by a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Brandy Lee Wilson, 25, of Dixon Mills (top photo, right), which in turn struck a 2004 Ford Windstar (bottom photo, left), driven by Tonya LaShaun Reed, 30, of Wagarville. All three vehicles then made contact with a 2002 Ford F-25 pickup (top photo, left), driven by Robert Weakly Blanton IV of Spartinburg, S.C. Reed and Wilson both sustained what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. They were transported by ambulance to Jackson Medical Center for treatment. (SA photos by Evan Carden)
