'Sight Night' to be remembered on Halloween at St. Peter's

Trick-or-treaters in Jackson may be asking for more than candy this year. Each Halloween, Sight Night volunteers nationwide collect used eyewear to be recycled and hand-delivered to underprivileged people in developing countries.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church and Girl Scout Troop 8050 will be collecting on Halloween night, Oct. 31, this year. Donations may also be dropped off at the box located at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Hospital Drive.

All are encouraged to dig through drawers and "scare up" old prescription glasses and non-prescription sunglasses to make a difference to someone.

For additional information or to get involved, contact Cathy Cargile at 246-8092 (evenings).
