Women's bazaar at

FUMC in Demopolis

The United Methodist Women's Bazaar at the First United Methodist Church in Demopolis will be Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Locally-made crafts, crafts from around the world, attic treasures and baked goods will be available. Homemade chicken salad, pimento cheese sandwiches and desserts will be served beginning at 11 a.m. Takeouts will be available.

There will be a drawing for a hand-crocheted afghan at 1:30 p.m. and a silent auction available for bids until 3 p.m.

The church is located at 200 E. Decatur St., Demopolis. For additional information contact the church at 334-289-1933.

Cedar Point Baptist

hosts Women and Men's Day

Cedar Point Baptist Church on Highway 31 in the West Bend community of Coffeeville will hosts their Women and Men's Day program Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m.

Speaker for the women will be Bessie Pace Watkins of the Springfield Baptist Church of Millbrook. The Rev. Daris Rodger of the Green Hill Baptist Church of Shulbth, Miss. will speak to the men. His congregation will be the special guests.

Trunk or Treat

at First Baptist Leroy

Children through the sixth grade are invited to a "Trunk or Treat" at the Leroy First Baptist Church Wednesday, Oct. 31, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Benefit for David Dyess II

at Wagarville Holiness

Barbecue chicken plates will be sold Saturday, Oct. 27, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Wagarville Holiness Church. The proceeds will benefit David Dyess II who lost a kidney to cancer and has also had back surgery.

Plates will be $6 with 50¢ drinks available on site.

Ebenezer UMC

The Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Wagarville invites all to join in the fun at a youth rally Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. They promise lots of food and fun for everyone.

Goodwill Missionary

celebrates 106 years

The community is invited to take part in the 106th year church anniversary of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladon Springs Sunday, Nov. 5 at 3:30 p.m. Guest speaker and special guests will be the Rev. Charlie E. York along with his choir and congregation of Highpoint Baptist Church in Eight Mile.

Family and Friends Day

at Star of Zion A.M.E.

The Star of Zion A.M.E. Church will be celebrating Family and Friends Day Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Sherman Lewis and the Berry's Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church family will be the special guests.

Stave Creek Baptist

hosts new Fall Festival

Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6:30-8 p.m. a Wild West Fall Festival will be conducted at the Jackson National Guard Armory on Highway 69 North.

This will be a time of games, food, fun, praise and worship for all kids. The evening will include door prizes.

Pastor's 5th anniversary

at Mt. Gilead Missionary

Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate Pastor Lee Bush Jr.'s fifth anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 28.

Minister Reggie Bush of Atlanta, Ga. will be the guest speaker at the 11 a.m. service.

Dr. Howard Johnson, pastor of True Vine Missionary Baptist church will speak at 3 p.m.

Annual homecoming and revival service program at

James Chapel Baptist

James Chapel Baptist Church will be hosting their Annual Homecoming and Revival Service program beginning Sunday, Oct. 28 at 12 p.m. Pastor Osbry Millender will be delivering the message.

Revival services will begin Monday evening, Oct. 29 at 7 and continue through Thursday, Nov. 1.

Evangelists will be: Monday - The Rev. Chester Williams, associate minister of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church; Tuesday - the Rev. Wilson Gibby, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Waynewright; Wednesday - Elder Robert Stokes, pastor of the New Life Holiness Church of Mobile; and Thursday - Elder Johnnie E. Clarke, a member of the Body of Christian Ministry of Atlanta, Ga.

The Rev. Osbry Millender, pastor, encourages all to attend.

Stave Creek revival

Stave Creek Baptist Church on Highway 69 North in Jackson will be hosting a fall revival, Nov. 4-7.

Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday will be at 7 nightly.

Leading the services will be Pastor John Copeland of the First Baptist Church in Fulton and Evangelist Don Graham. The Rev. Jeff Reeves of Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis will direct the Stave Creek Baptist Choir.

Rev. Boykin to speak at

New St. Matthew Baptist

Pastor Kevin Boykin of New St. Matthew Baptist Church in the Lily Valley community of Jackson announces an anniversary celebration on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. The Rev. Clausell Boykin of St. James A.M.E. Church in Choctaw Bluff will be the speaker.

Revival services will be presented Monday, Oct. 29 through Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7 each evening.

Monday the Rev. Hurley James, pastor of St. Paul Baptist in Salitpa will be the speaker, the Rev. Robert Jackson, pastor of Good Will Baptist Church in Bladen Springs on Tuesday and on Wednesday will be the Rev. Ivory James, pastor of Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church in Millry as the evangelist.

Homecoming at

UMC of McIntosh

The United Methodist Church of McIntosh will host homecoming Sunday, Oct. 28. Worship service will be at 11 a.m. with dinner following in the fellowship hall. All are encouraged to bring a favorite covered dish.

Guest speaker Cliff Cobb works for the Alabama Department of Forestry. He will also speak during revival services Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7 each evening

Historic Andrews Chapel will be open to guests and the public from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The Rev. Molly Furford, pastor, invites everyone to come and take part.

Fall Festival at

Oak Grove Baptist Oct. 27

Oak Grove Baptist Church in the Chilton community will sponsor a Fall Festival, Oct. 27 beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Events will include a costume contest for all ages, games, activities, obstacle course and more. The evening will end with a hayride.

Fall Festival committee members are asking those who can to bring a 2-liter coke, cake, cookies, candy or cupcakes for the cakewalk.

People of all ages are invited to come and enjoy the festivities said Pastor Morris Hill.

Ushers Day program

at Friendship Baptist

Pastor Charlie J. White and the members of the Friendship Baptist Church of Leroy invite the community to their annual Ushers Day. Events will take place Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev Nathanial Fair Sr., pastor of First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. All are invited.
