Two in Jackson charged with residential burglary

One adult and one juvenile have been charged with a burglary that occurred in the early morning hours, Friday, Oct. 5.

James Marshall, 18, of Jackson and a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with second degree theft of property. According to Jackson Police Detective Richard Harvey, the burglary occurred around 2 a.m. at a residence on Highway 69 within the Jackson Police jurisdiction.

Marshall is accused of assisting the juvenile in loading a generator taken from the residence onto his pickup truck. Harvey said a neighbor saw the young men loading the equipment and they fled the scene. Marshall has reportedly admitted to assisting the juvenile with the crime.
