The South Alabamian relocates
The newspaper office has been located at 1064 Coffeeville Road since the early 1980s. Publisher Jim Cox built the new facility across from Dozier Hardware and adjacent to Dynamic Dance Studio. "We have about 3,500 square feet, including a retail store area for our office supplies and offices for most of the staff members," Cox said. "We've tried to make the building accommodating for our customers as well as for our staff." He added, "Moving was a big job but we were able to accomplish it quicker than I had thought possible. I appreciate everyone who helped us make the move." Some finishing work, including cabinetry, remains to be completed. Cox said an open house would be held once all of the work is finished.
"In the meantime, only our physical location has changed. Our phone number, fax number, e-mail address and Internet address are all still the same. Ditto for our hours, Monday- Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Come to see us in our new location!"
