Locals shine in Share the Gospel tournament The numbers speak for themselves. Five spotted bass weighing 18.79 pounds including the big fish tipping the scales at 5.71 pounds. These are the numbers that Team Trotter Marine member David Henson, Jr. and his partner and father David Henson Sr. brought to the scales to capture the classic title of the Share the Gospel Tournament Trail's season ending tournament fished out of Demopolis City Landing Saturday, September 22. Results •Henson and Henson out fished 20 other teams in a tournament that payed out in cash and prizes $5,200, $2,850 to the winning team in a first place check presented by Blazer Boats, State Farm Big Fish award presented by Ron Lonergan ,agent- Chatom, AL, and $1,250 Triton/Mercury/Motorguide contingency monies through Trotter Marine in Creola •Second place went to the team of Ken Grice and Keith Kirkham with a 5-fish limit weighing 10.45 lbs. •Third place was captured by Jeffrey Keel and Kile Nettles with a limit tipping the scales at 8.37 lbs. •Fourth place went to Fred Schoenrock and Jimmy Williams with 6.78 lbs. and fifth place went to 2006 Tour Champion Ray Covington with 6.75 lbs. Through the generosity of Michael Toomey at South Alabama Gas, Trey Kistler and Kistler Rods, and A & D Sporting Goods in Gilbertown, each participant went home with cash and or prizes from the total purse.
