Leroy soldier meets with top Army officer
Sgt. Calvin Cassady of Leroy (front, left) recently met with Secretary of the Army (front, center) to discuss issues of need on behalf of the U.S. Military. Cassady is a graduate of Leroy High School and is the son of Anita McHaney and the late Dennis Cassady. He is the grandson of Elizabeth Etheredge of Leroy and the nephew of Pat Etheredge. The soldier will return home on leave in December then transfer to Ft. Benning, Ga. where he will serve as an infantry trainer.
