Jackson Area COC announces plans for 25th Annual Fall Festival celebration

The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the Fall Festival and the celebration of its 25th year anniversary.

This year's festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature plenty of food and craft booths in the downtown area. This will be an opportunity for those wanting to get a jump on holiday shopping.

New features of the event will include the first annual Chili Cook-Off and a Market in the Street area for business owners.

Many items such as jewelry, Christmas items, children's toys, purses, cookware, children's and women's clothing and much more will be available.

More than 20 food vendors will offer various treats including fried candy bars, funnel cakes, hotdogs, hamburgers, seafood just to name a few.

The Fall Festival is a family event offering entertainment for every age. Local school and church choirs, dance groups and bands will be performing. The children may enjoy unlimited use of various games with the purchase of an armband for $7.

Outdoor enthusiasts will be entertained by the 25th annual Lumberjack and Saw Competition, which will be conducted behind city hall. This year's competition will feature participants from as far away as California.

Always a crowd pleaser, the Bob Smith Memorial Antique Auto Show will display more than 100 automobiles from various eras.
