Drugs, guns and money found during raid
According to Agent Blane Barrett, Reginald Earl Williams, 28, and Gary Lenoise Campbell Jr., 24, are charged with trafficking, manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, following a search which took place around 5:30 p.m. at a Coffeeville residence. Barnett said when agents arrived there were 20-30 people present. Williams attempted to flee, but Barnett was able to quickly apprehend him. In the residence, Task Force agents found approximately 4.6 ounces of powder and crack cocaine, $4,000 cash, one assault rifle, a modified handgun and a shotgun, which were all confiscated. The warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation. Other officers participating in the raid included Task Force One Commander Mike Hunt, Agent Lem DuBose, Coffeeville Police Chief Clint Harrell, Clarke County Deputy Jim Mundie and Jackson Police Officer Ben Marshall.
In an unrelated incident earlier the same day, Task Force One agents made a traffic stop on Highway 43 in Jackson, which resulted in the apprehension of several Hispanic illegal aliens. No official report was made, but the subjects were turned over to Jackson Police and eventually to the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
