AMSTI program Monday at JIS
Jackson Intermediate School (JIS) PTO will be hosting the Alabama Math, Science and Technology Institute (AMSTI) on Monday, Sept. 24 for third graders and Tuesday, Sept. 25 for fourth and fifth graders at 6 p.m. Shelly Rider (USA AMSTI director), Rachel Broadhead (math specialist for third-fifth grades) and Stella Grant (science specialist for third-fifth grades) will give hands-on lessons in math and science activities. All parents and students are encouraged to attend the program. Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Henderson are above with JIS third grade students.
