Catherine Davis honored at bridal shower at Stave Creek Catherine Davis, bride-elect of Coley Andrews, was honored at a bridal shower Aug. 25 at Stave Creek Baptist Church. Special guests at this event were Laura Lankford, mother of the bride; Mittie Roberts and Narvis Davis, grandmothers of the bride; and Jeraline Chance, grandmother of the groom. Hostesses were Sarah Stanley, Sharon Bordelon, Juanita Allday, Cynthia Turberville, Shelia Bates, Ginny Phillips, Gina Davis, Nikki Singley, Kathy Stringer and Susan Davis. The fellowship hall was decorated in the bride's chosen colors of lavender and royal blue. Window recesses held ivy topiaries accented with lavender bows. A crystal vase filled with lavender and white flowers on a white tablecloth was the setting for the guest book. The gift table, draped with a white cloth, was accented by lavender and blue floral toppers with ivy topiaries laced with lavender miniature roses and bows on either end. A white cloth with sheer lavender overlay covered the food table which held a variety of finger foods including sausage balls, pigs in blankets, bacon wrapped crackers, cheese ball, grape salad, dirt and pound cakes, cookies, créme puffs and coffee punch.
Miss Davis received many useful gifts.
