Man dies in accident at Grove Hill trucking company

      An employee was killed Wednesday morning in an accident at Francis Powell Enterprises, a trucking company, on Highway 84 East in Grove Hill. The victim was Christopher Johns, 35, of Lower Peach Tree, according to Buster Hough, an investigator with the Grove Hill Police Department.

Ruling 'illegal and immoral' according to local judge

      A local circuit judge saddled with a nearly $1.2 million judgment in an estate settlement imposed by a Mobile County circuit judge has called the order illegal and immoral and said that it must not be allowed to become public knowledge.
