Fighting her way out
Victoria Beech (left) uses techniques she learned in the Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) course, sponsored last week by the Jackson Police Department, to break free from instructor Arvis Slack (JPD training officer) during the training session. The class was taught in the department's new training room located inside the old Alabama Power building. Participants were taught escape methods and how not to hang around and be a victim, as well as being more aware of their surroundings.
