Ten Friend's Love Feast at St. Paul A.M.E.

Nancy Maharry will be the guest speaker at the St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Carlton, said the Rev. Georgia P. Nash, pastor. She encourages everyone to bring a friend and attend the Ten Friends' Love Feast, Sept. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

Friendship Missionary has homecomming and revival

Pastor Charlie J. White and the members of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Leroy will be conducting a homecoming service Sunday, Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Henry Gillis, pastor of James Chapel Baptist Church of St. Stephens.

Revival services are Monday, Aug. 27-31 at 7:30 nightly. The evangelist for the week will be the Rev. Clifford Mitchell, pastor of the First Church of God in Mt. Vernon.

Homecoming at Pine Grove UMC

Pine Grove United Methodist Church of Leroy will come together for homecoming Sunday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. A covered dish dinner will follow the service. All are invited to attend.

Oak Grove Youth Night Saturday

Pastor Morris Hill announces Oak Grove Baptist Church of the Chilton community will host Youth Night, Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. All ages are invited to join in praise and worship. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Rev. Ivory James to speak at St. James A.M.E. homecoming

Homecoming at St. James A.M.E. Church in Choctaw Bluff will be Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2:30 p.m. Speaker will be the Rev. Ivory James, pastor of Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church in Millry.

Revival services will begin Monday, Sept. 3 and continue through Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 nightly. The Rev. Osbry Millender of Moss Point, Miss. will be the evangelist for the week.

The Rev. Clausell Boykin is pastor.

Goodwill Missionary Baptist conducting homecoming

Sunday, Sept. 2 at 10 a.m., Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church of Silas will conduct homecoming services with Pastor Robert L. Jackson speaking.

Revival services with the Rev. Lee Bush, pastor of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Jackson as evangelist, will begin Monday, Sept. 3. Services will continue through Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 7 nightly.

Prophet Roger Kirksey in revival

Stephanie Leavins to speak at First Baptist Jackson

Born with muscular dystrophy, Stephanie Leavins has spent her life in a wheelchair. She will be sharing her testimony and speaking of how she believes God has revealed His love and mercy by using her handicap to inspire and encourage audiences.

Her presentation will be at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Sept. 9 at the 11 a.m. service.

100 Women in Hats and 100 Women in White

programs on Aug. 25

Minister Georgia P. Nash, pastor of St. Paul AME Church of Carlton, will be the guest speaker for the 100 Women in Hats and 100 Women in White programs. These events will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 25, 5 p.m. at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Wainwright where the Rev. Wilson Gibby is pastor.

Annual horse show and 4-wheeler ride Aug. 25

Mt. Shady A.M.E. Zion Pastor Aid Club is sponsoring the Annual Horse Show and 4-Wheeler Ride Saturday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m. until. The activities will take place at the Sunflower ball field with a $7, adult and $3, child admission. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. Booth rental fee is $50.

There will be fun and games for children. Participants ride at their own risk.

Little Burrah honors pastor's 17th anniversary

The Little Burrah Baptist Church invites everyone to celebrate Pastor William Jackson's 17th anniversary Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 26 at 2 p.m.

Saturday's speaker will be the Rev. Clayton Davis Sr. of Gosport and Sunday will be the Rev. Robert Stokes of Mobile.

Homecoming to be observed at Shady Grove Baptist

Shady Grove Baptist Church of Millry will observe homecoming Sunday, Sept. 2. Services will be at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at noon and an afternoon singing by Winky Hicks and Frontier Blue Grass. Pastor is the Rev. John Dailey.

Cedar Point Baptist Church on Highway 31 in the West Bend community of Coffeeville concludes their revival Friday, Aug. 24 at 7 each evening. Speaker is the Rev. Edmond Charleston Jr. of the Antioch M.B. Church of Nicholsville.

Gospel singing at Seven Oaks Baptist Church

"The Providentials" of Ruth, Miss., the "Gospel Three" and others will be featured at a gospel singing at Seven Oaks Baptist Church. They will be performing Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. There will be no admission, but a love offering will be taken.

Family Fun Day at Wagarville Baptist Church will be Aug. 25 beginning at 1 p.m. There will be food, games, a waterslide and good family fun. All are invited to come and take part.

Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Carlton will be presenting a Love Day program Sunday, Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. for Sis. Stella Smith, Sis. Marilyn Smith, Sis. Jacqueline Green and Sis. Special events at Old St. Matthew Aug. 26

The Old St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church will conduct a corner stone laying and homecoming program Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. Guest speaker and special guests will be Pastor Anthony Kimbrough and the congregation of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church of Frankville.

Deacon Woodie Pugh will be master of order and the Rev. C.C. McCants is the intern pastor.
