Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill will present the Crimson City Quartet of Mobile on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. The church is located at 14130 Highway 43.

Word of Truth announces new time

The Word of Truth Fellowship Church announces a new worship service time on Sunday mornings at 8:30. The church is located at 209 Commerce St. Pastors Belinda and Marcus Kelley invite everyone to attend.

Annual horse show and 4-wheeler ride Aug. 25

Mt. Shady A.M.E. Zion Pastor Aid Club is sponsoring the Annual Horse Show and 4-Wheeler Ride Saturday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m. until. The activities will take place at the Sunflower ball field with a $7, adult and $3, child admission. Dinner will be served at 1 p.m. Booth rental fee is $50.

There will be fun and games for children. Participants ride at their own risk.

Revival services at Good Hope Missionary

Revival services will continue at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Salitpa through Aug. 17 at 7 nightly.

The Rev. James McGhee Jr. along with his congregation will be the special guests. Minister Marius Beckham will be the evangelist for the week. Pastor Derrick Powell welcomes the community to attend.

Little Burrah honors pastor's 17th anniversary

The Little Burrah Baptist Church invites everyone to celebrate Pastor William Jackson's 17th anniversary Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 26 at 2 p.m.

Saturday's speaker will be the Rev. Clayton Davis Sr. of Gosport and Sunday will be the Rev. Robert Stokes of Mobile.

Homecoming and revival at Greater New Hope

The Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church of Millry will conduct their annual homecoming celebration on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Sam McDonald, pastor of Pineville Missionary Baptist Church of Waynesboro, Miss.

Revival services begin Aug. 20 and continue through Aug. 24 at 7 nightly. The evangelist for the week will be the Rev. Alphonso Hires, pastor of St. Peter Baptist Church of Mobile.

The Rev. Ivory James, pastor, invites all to attend and worship together.

Rev. Clausell Boykin celebrates anniversary

The anniversary of the Rev. Clausell Boykin as pastor of St. James AME Church in Choctaw Bluff will be Sunday, Aug. 19 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Georgia P. Nash, pastor of St. Paul AME Church of Carlton, will be the guest speaker for this occasion.

Cedar Point Baptist hosting homecoming and revival

Homecoming will be Sunday, Aug. 19, 2 p.m. at Cedar Point Baptist Church on Highway 31 in the West Bend community of Coffeeville. Speaker for the event will be the Rev. Derrick Powell and special guests will be the congregation of the Good Hope Baptist Church of Salitpa.

A revival will begin Monday, Aug. 20 and conclude Friday, Aug. 24, meeting at 7 each evening. Speaker for the revival will be the Rev. Edmond Charleston Jr. of the Antioch M.B. Church of Nicholsville.

Gospel singing at Seven Oaks Baptist Church

"The Providentials" of Ruth, Miss., the "Gospel Three" and others will be featured at a gospel singing at Seven Oaks Baptist Church. They will be performing Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. There will be no admission, but a love offering will be taken.

Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church in Carlton will be presenting a Love Day program Sunday, Aug. 26 at 3 p.m. for Sis. Stella Smith, Sis. Marilyn Smith, Sis. Jacqueline Green and Sis. Annual homecoming and revival at Pleasant Ridge

Pastor Willie C. Jackson and the members of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church invite everyone to their annual homecoming and revival.

Homecoming will be Sunday, Aug. 19 beginning at 2 p.m. The speaker will be the Rev. Kevin Boykin Sr. and the members of New Saint Matthew Baptist Church in the Lilly Valley community will be the special guests.

The revival will be Aug. 20-24 at 7 nightly with the Rev. Earnest Eirby of Pine Level Primitive Baptist and CP Primitive Baptist churches as speaker.
