Asphalt dumps in wrong spot
Jackson Police Chief Charles Burge talks with Jackson volunteer fireman Bob Bumpers at an accident involving an asphalt dump truck last Friday. The dump body of an extended Mobile Asphalt Company dump truck turned over on Highway 43 as it was unloading into an asphalt spreader in front of Wal-Mart. The truck cab did not overturn and no one was hurt in the mishap but a big pile of hot asphalt had to be cleaned up. Mobile Asphalt has been resurfacing Highway 43 in North Jackson, causing a lot of traffic backups.
