The Leroy Bears are doing very well so far this summer in 7-7 play. LHS sports a perfect 5-0 record in what has been a grueling schedule against large schools such as UMS Wright, T.R. Miller, Clarke County, Robertsdale and Gulf Shores.
The Bears traveled to Grove Hill on July 2 to take on the Clarke County Bulldogs. With several players out for different reasons Leroy didn't miss a beat and built a 36-0 lead early. CCHS closed the gap late to cut the final score to 44-24.
Leroy quarterback Clint Moseley had a big night leading the Bears' offense. He tossed five of Leroy's six touchdowns.
Patrick Rivers and Aerick Davis both hauled in two touchdown receptions for Leroy. Stephen Scoggins and Michael Bracey grabbed one TD pass each.
LHS traveled to Gulf Shores on July 7 and went 4-0. The Bears knocked off T.R. Miller 22-8, Gulf Shores 32-12, Robertsdale 42-6 and UMS Wright 40-20.
