WashCo towns show their patriotism
Fourth of July celebrations were conducted in Chatom and McIntosh last Wednesday despite some rainy weather. Top photo: The rain stopped just long enough for the fireworks display to take place in Chatom. Colorful lights filled the night sky as area residents celebrated our country's independence. Bottom photo: The well-known recording group and Washington County natives The Sullivans played some footstompin' bluegrass gospel music for the crowd in McIntosh. Due to the rainy weather, the town rescheduled its fireworks display for the following Saturday night, July 7. See more photos on page 4.
