Land Boys to celebrate 4th anniversary

The Land Boys of Millry, will be celebrating their 4th year anniversary on Saturday, July 14 at C&J Holiness Church in Waynesboro, Miss. at 7 p.m. and will climax on Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Greater C&J Holiness Church in Millry at 3 p.m.

Pine Chapel to celebrate pastor's anniversary

Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 of Toddtown, will velebrate the 7th year anniversary of their pastor, Rev. Frederick Thompson Sr., on Sunday, July 15, 3 p.m. Rev. Robert Emmanuel, pastor of Friendship Primative Baptist Church Mobile and his congreation will be the special guests. Everyone is invited to attend.

District fellowship meeting July 14

The Apostolic Overcoming Holy Churches of God, Inc. announce a district fellowship meeting Saturday, July 14, 7 p.m. at Sunflower AOH Church of God, McFadden Avenue, Thomasville. Everyone is invited to attend said Pastor S.L. Calhoun.

Good Hope Baptist celebrates Choir Day

The Good Hope Baptist Church in Walker Springs will celebrate annual Choir Day Sunday, July 15 at 2:30 p.m.

All choirs, groups and soloists are invited to attend and asked to sing an A and B selection. Everyone is invited to attend said the Rev. Clatyon Davis Sr., pastor.

Women's convention July 13-14

Awomen's convention will be conducted July 13 at 5 p.m. and July 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Cedar Fork Baptist Church in the Cedar Fork community. Maxine Stallworth, president of the Women's Department, and Pastor C. Bolden invite all to attend.

Church Music Workshop 2007 announced

The Rev. D.W. Moore has announced Church Music Workshop 2007 will be conducted through today, July 12, at Mt. Olive No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church of Jackson. The youth workshop is from 4:30-6:45 p.m.; adults 6:50-8:45 p.m.

A workshop concert will be presented Sunday, July 15, 5 p.m., beginning with the youth workshop participants, followed by the adult participants.

Registration fee will be $5 for youth and $10 for adults.

Choir workshop at Lewis Grove Baptist Church

The Lewis Grove Baptist Church Choir of Wagarville will host a choir workshop on July 13-15 starting at 5 p.m. The workshop concert will be Sunday, July 15 at 6 p.m.

Pastor Ceasar Abston said that Elder Daniel Davis of Mobile will be the director.

The cost for the workshop is $5 for youth and $10 for adults. All choirs are invited to participate.

'Graduate to Great' theme for CVBS

The Word of Truth Fellowship Church and Rivers of Living Waters will be sponsoring Community Vacation Bible School, July 11-13 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Word of Truth Fellowship Church, 209 Commerce St., Jackson.

The theme for this event is "Graduate to Great". The classes will attempt to edify and motivate students to excellence in their relationships with Christ.

Pastors Belinda and Marcus Kelley said the foundational truths of prayer, faith, obedience, hope and discipline create a foundation that shapes lives.

Annual homecoming at James Chapel Baptist

Elder Johnnie E. Clarke of The Body of Christ Ministry of Atlanta, Ga. will deliver the homecoming message July 22 at James Chapel Baptist Church. Service will be at 12 noon. The Rev. Osbry Millender is pastor.

Bishop to visit St. Peter's Episcopal

The Rt. Rev. Philip Duncan, bishop of the Central Gulf Coast Diocese, will visit St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Sunday, July 15. Services will be at 11 a.m. followed by lunch. The community is invited to attend. The Rev. Buck Belmore is the priest in charge.

Good Hope Missionary honors pastor's anniversary

Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Salitpa will be honoring the fifth anniversary of the Rev. and Sis. Derrick Powell. The celebration will be July 22 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Kelvin Jackson of Mt. Olive No. 1 will bring the message. Everyone is invited to attend.

Citronelle Church of God hosts VBS

The Citronelle Church of God's Vacation Bible School will be July 16-20 each evening from 6-8. Atheme of "Jesus Family Reunion" will be presented for kindergarten through 12th grade.

Annual Youth Day will be Sunday, July 15 at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Thaddeus Douglas of Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church of Jackson. All youth groups are invited to attend and celebrate in song, dance, mime and skits.

Minister Loretta Ward of Triumph Ministries will be the guest speaker Sunday, Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. for the annual Usher Day program. Ushers and their church families are invited to come and help celebrate the event.

'The New Birth Experience'

first annual conference

Pastor Keith Williams invites the community to the first annual "New Birth Experience" conference July 13-15.

This event will take place at the Ciba Union Hall on Highway 43. Prophet Jordan Sherman will speak Friday, July 13 at 7 p.m.; Dr. Mary Marshall, Saturday, July 14 at 10 a.m.; and Pastor Oliver Williams, Sunday, July 15 at 6 p.m.

Frost Bridge Camp Meeting

July 20-29

The 111th encampment of Frost Bridge Camp Meeting will be July 20-29. Evangelists include the Rev. Paul Womack, Dr. Eldred Kelley and Lt. Col. Eugene Slusher. Youth evangelist will be the Rev. Duke Underwood. Daily services are 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The camp is located between Waynesboro, Miss. and Silas, two miles north of Highway 84. Look for signs in Isney. Accommodations include an air conditioned motel, daily meals are available in the dining hall and air conditioned dorms for youth. The camp has complete RV hook-ups for campers.For additional information call 205-752-8595.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be offered at the Jackson Church of Christ on Highway 43 N Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The title is "Can You Dig It?" Children ages 2 through the 6th grade are invited to take part in the Bible stories, lunch, activities and 3 p.m. refreshments.
