Beach wedding unites Frase - Goldman

Mrs. Jason Scott Frase
DeAnna Elaine Goldman and Jason Scott Frase were united in marriage on the beach Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Gulf Shores Pavilion in Gulf Shores. Pastor Glenn Henson officiated the 6 p.m. service.

The bride is the daughter of Theresa and William Goldman of Chatom. She is the granddaughter of Evie Reynolds Taylor of Mobile and the late Samuel M. Taylor, and Earline Beech Goldman of Millry and the late Willie Eugene Goldman. The groom is the son of Virginia Frase of Saraland, and the late Fred Frase.

Guests were seated in white chairs accented with white bows along the aisle. A large white arch was decorated with green ivy and long vines. An arrangement of greenery in white baskets and lighted tiki torches were placed on each side of the arch.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white full length gown with a chapel length train. The bodice and hem were adorned with tulle overlay featuring white and silver cord lace in a floral design.

The bride chose a fingertip illusion veil of white silk tulle accented with scattered Swarovski crystals along with a crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, white calla lilies and daisies, hand-tied with white satin ribbons.

Cousin of the bride, Tracey Martin Carl of Wilmer was matron of honor, and her childhood best friend, Mandy Joye Heathcock of Chatom was maid of honor. The bridesmaids wore tea-length, satin, coral dresses with matching satin shawls and carried hand-tied bouquets similar to the bride's.

Ashton Danielle Taylor Carl of Wilmer served as flower girl. She wore a sleeveless white satin empire waist dress accented with a coral sash. She carried a small satin basket filled with coral petals, seashells and pearls.

The groom was attended by his childhood best friends, Thomas Michael Bailey and David Samuel Nall both of Mobile, as best men. Christian Solderitsch of Cleveland, Ohio served as ring bearer. He carried a miniature treasure chest with a velvet lining accented with a white satin ribbon. Ushers were William Matthew Goldman of Mobile and Jason Samuel Goldman of Chatom, brothers of the bride.

Reception

A reception followed the ceremony at the Kaiser Realty building in Orange Beach. An arrangement of colorful flowers, plants, palm trees and tiki torches surrounded a fountain pond at the entrance.

An embellished table that held white candles, mints, a beach themed guest book and favorite pictures of the couple decorated the foyer. Miniature flip flop candles and decorated bubbles were given as wedding favors.

A memory table held a picture of the groom's father and the bride's grandfathers with scattered coral rose petals and three white candles.

A large flower arrangement, palm trees and white bows decorated the entry along with white bows that accented an outside balcony where guests mingled.

Guest tables with white linen cloths were arranged throughout the room and held glass vases of fresh pink roses, white calla lilies, daisies, baby's breath and greenery.

Small white tea lights and chocolate candies in the shape of seashells were placed around the centerpieces of each table. A long table with white drapes, tea lights and flower arrangements, held assorted fruits, vegetables, meats, sandwiches, cheeses and other appetizers. Refreshments including pineapple punch and lemon water were available.

The bride's table featured a four-tiered white cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. The couple's initial made of white chocolate topped the cake with an arrangement of pink roses, white calla lilies, baby's breath, decorative berries and greenery spiraling down the cake. Chocolate seashell-shaped candies were placed on each side of the cake.

The groom's table held an Alabama Crimson Tide themed red velvet cake with chocolate icing. The table was decorated with a football framed picture of the couple at their first Alabama game together along with other special Alabama football memorabilia. The groom's favorite cookies, made by his mother, were placed by the cake.

The bride and groom danced their first dance of the night to "Sparks", by Coldplay, a song from their first date. The bride and her father shared a dance to "My Wish", by Rascal Flatts, and the groom danced with his mother to "Have I Told You Lately", by Rod Stewart. The guests enjoyed dancing to a variety of music selected by the bride and groom. Damon Collins of Orange Beach served as DJ for the occasion.

The couple spent the weekend in Orange Beach before leaving on an eight-day honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They currently reside in Birmingham.
