The festivities in McIntosh begin at 5:30 p.m., behind the town hall, when local talent will take the stage. The McIntosh Rescue Squad will be selling refreshments and there will be free goodies for children, including flags, cups and candy.

At 6:30 p.m., well-known gospel recording artists Jerry and Tammy Sullivan will perform. The Sullivans have won several awards and have been honored with a number of nominations from the music recording industry.

The annual fireworks display, conducted by the McIntosh Fire Department, will take place at dusk, which will probably be sometime around 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and join in on the celebration.
