Thanks for help with AMSTI training
Dear Editor,

I wanted to publicly thank everyone who played a role in the success of the Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative (AMSTI) Training held at Joe M. Gillmore Elementary School the weeks of June 4-15. Certainly, Mr. Stephens and the Clarke County Board of Education made sure that we had everything we needed to have a successful training. As always, local businesses were very supportive with their donations of assistance and door prizes. Our mayor and city council hosted a wonderful luncheon honoring the trainers and participants.

I would also like to thank the citizens of Jackson who opened their arms to approximately 300 people involved in this training for two weeks. I know the participants and trainers left with a great feeling about Jackson and the people who live here. We know what a special place Jackson is, but it is still nice when others recognize it as well!
