Adams honored at UA

Jonathan Adams, a native of St. Stephens, was recently honored with several awards at the University of Alabama.

Adams was recognized as a Capstone Hero. This award is given to university students, faculty, staff and organizations who exemplify the ideals of the Capstone Creed. The creed serves as a statement of the core values that sustain members of the university community.

He was also recognized by the UA Division of Student Affairs during its annual picnic and recognition ceremony and was honored as the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year.

During the past year, he served as a graduate assistant in the Office of Campus Activities, as an intern in the Office of Student Judicial Affairs, and as resident scholar for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

A 2000 graduate of Leroy High School, he is the son of Ronnie and Cecilia Adams of St. Stephens. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama and graduated in May with a masters of arts degree in higher education administration. He has accepted a position at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
