McIntosh woman accused of pocketing cash from employer's deposits

McIntosh Police arrested Cristy Ann Weaver, 22, of McIntosh, Monday, June 11 and charged her with second degree theft of property following an investigation that allegedly linked her with missing funds from McIntosh Family Dentistry.

Weaver, who was employed by the business, is accused of not making a number of deposits for the office over a two-month period. According to McIntosh Police Chief Charles Koger, the missing deposits included approximately $2,000 in cash and a number of checks.

"She deposited the checks Monday," he said, "but the cash is still missing."

Officer Rico House was the investigating officer. Weaver was booked into the Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Other arrests

The Washington County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests during the past week:

+Timothy Conrad Beech Jr., 22, of Chatom was arrested June 4 on a warrant from Mississippi charging him with grand larceny. (Chatom P.D.)

+Lesedric Adams, 32, of Leroy was arrested June 4 and charged with violation of probation.

+Vick Lamont Barnes Sr., 36, of McIntosh was arrested June 5 and charged with failure to pay child support. He was ordered to pay $5,000.

+Jack Overcasher, 27, of Jackson was taken into custody June 6 for a court appearance on a charge of second degree receiving stolen property.

+Henry Lee Young, 28, of Millry was taken into custody June 6 to serve 90 days on a first degree possession of marijuana charge.

+Anthony Murphy, 40, of Mobile was arrested June 6 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. No bond amount was listed.

+Cynthia Dianne Weaver, 40, of McIntosh was arrested June 6 and charged with domestic violence. Bond was set at $500. (McIntosh P.D.)

+Chuck Robillaid, 33, of McIntosh was arrested June 6 and charged with third degree domestic violence. Bond was set at $500. (McIntosh P.D.)

+William Robison, 22, of Linden was arrested June 7 and charged with DUI and speeding. Bond was set at $1,500. (McIntosh P.D.)

+Corey Allen Wimbley, 21, of Leroy was arrested June 7 and charged with theft of services and 17 counts of negotiation of a worthless negotiable instrument. Bond was set at $5,000. (Chatom P.D.)

+Willie Earl Parker Jr., 38, of Chatom was arrested June 7 and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and failure to pay child support. Bond was set at $20,000. (Chatom P.D.)

+Jimmy Towner, 51, of Chatom was arrested June 7 and charged with third degree theft of property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000. (Chatom P.D.)

+Patrick Jerome Poole, 21, of Chatom was arrested June 7 and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and violation of probation. Bond was set at $20,000. (Chatom P.D.)

+James C. Gardner, 21, of Millry was arrested June 7 and charged with DUI, reckless driving and driving before obtaining a license. Bond was set at $2,200.

+Brent S. Weaver, 34, of McIntosh was arrested June 7 and charged with domestic violence/ reckless endangerment. Bond was set at $1,500.

+Elvin Pugh Laton, 50, of Chatom was arrested June 7 and charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $3,000.

+Tommy Glen Etheredge, 27, of Jackson was arrested June 10 and charged with failure to pay child support.

+Robert Oral Lunbard, 57, of Mobile was taken into custody June 11 to serve 55 days on a DUI charge.

+Lathan L. Douglas, 38, of Gilbertown was arrested June 11 and charged with DUI. No bond amount was listed.
