New search for missing Whatley man conducted

The search continues for a Whatley man who has been missing since September of last year.

On June 7 a team from the Klaas Kids Foundation, officers from the Clarke County and Monroe County sheriff's departments and the Jackson Rescue Squad along with cadaver dogs from Florida and Mississippi searched various areas in the county for James Earl Foreman.

Foreman, described as a black male, five feet nine inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, was last seen in the Whatley community Sept. 15, 2006 getting into a brown pick-up truck with two white males.

"He was a shade tree mechanic and was seen every day by people in the community. Then all of a sudden he wasn't there anymore. We have several leads in the investigation which we are following," CCSD Chief Deputy Vergil Chapman said.

Anyone with information on Foreman's disappearance is asked to contact the Clarke County Sheriff's Department at 251-275-8132 or 251-275- 8156.
