Coleman graduates U of A School of Medicine Birmingham

Ashley Coleman begin a three-year family practice
Ashley Dan Coleman, a graduate of Jackson High School in 1994 and the University of South Alabama in 1998, graduated May 20, 2007 from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. The commencement ceremony was conducted at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

Dr. Coleman is a member of the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society which is a national medical honor society recognizing scholarship and professional qualifications.

He was one of the four students in medical studies who received the Merck Manual Award presented by Merck and Company, Inc.

Coleman and his wife Michelle (Norton) have moved to Florence, S.C., where he will begin a three-year family practice residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

He is the son of Bob Coleman of Mobile and Ann and Happy White of Jackson. Grandparents are Dr. Bob and Betty Bowling Carpenter of Jackson and the late Dr. R.S. Bowling Jr. and the late Marie D. Coleman.
