      Ashley Dan Coleman, a graduate of Jackson High School in 1994 and the University of South Alabama in 1998, graduated May 20, 2007 from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. The commencement ceremony was conducted at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

      On May 12, 2007, Rachel Anne English graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a bachelor of science degree from the college of commerce and business administration. Her double major consisted of international finance and French with double minors in economics and mathematics.

      Sara Elizabeth Howell, a recent graduate of Jackson Academy, has received a $6,000 Alton N. Scott endowed scholarship and a $4,000 University of Alabama Alumni Scholar award. She is the daughter of attorneys Sara and Kevin Howell of Hobson.

Lana Hall named to Samford Dean's List
