Correction

A recent article in The South Alabamian about the Alabama Girls State incorrectly indicated in the headline that the representatives had been announced by the American Legion. It should in fact have indicated that the announcement was by the American Legion Auxiliary.

The information presented for publication mistakenly advised that the young ladies were sponsored by the Jackson Woman's Club. Girls State representatives, Leanna Weaver and Cecilia Caldwell were selected and sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and the Lillian Pugh Andrews Foundation.

Both girls were presented Revere silver bowls by the Jackson Woman's Club for being selected.

The South Alabamian is happy to make these corrections.
