Street closings announced for block party
The Jackson Police Department advises motorists to be aware that Commerce Street from Kimball Avenue to Broad Street, College at Church Street and Church Street at Forest Avenue will be closed Friday, June 8 from 4:45-8:30 p.m. for a block party to raise money for the Pine City Park project.
"Motorist traveling in downtown Jackson between these times should find alternate routes," said Chief Charles Burge.
The block party is scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m.
