Besteda to play in North-South game

DeMarcus Besteda
Jackson High School's DeMarcus Besteda has been chosen as one of the players for the South team in the North-South football game during the 11th annual Alabama All-Star Sports Week in Huntsville July 9-13.

Besteda, who played wide receiver and split end for the Aggies, will take up the wide receiver position during the North-South game. "We are very proud to see DeMarcus chosen to play for the South team," said JHS Head Football Coach John Blackmon. "We look forward to seeing more great things from him in the future."

Besteda, who graduated from JHS May 19, recently signed a full athletic scholarship with the University of West Alabama for football, beginning in the 2007 football campaign.
