Event to raise money for Pine City Park planned

The Pine City Park Committee has scheduled a fund-raising block party for June 8, 5:30-8 p.m. in downtown Jackson.

The event will feature entertainment, food and activities for all ages. Downtown businesses are being asked to remain open during the event.

Those interested in viewing the design plan for the parkcan contact Nancy McDonald at 246-8263, 246- 4311 or 589-2813. Those wishing to volunteer in any capacity may also contact McDonald. Skill level does not matter.

Plans are to hopefully display the park's design at Wal-Mart, Jackson City Hall and local banks.
