Jackson men face federal indictments
indictments

Two local suspected drug dealers were arrested during the last week on federal grand jury indictments.

Cases were made against Mac Arthur Law and Brandon McReynolds, both of Jackson. These cases were initiated by the First Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force (Task Force One) and Fourth Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.

The indictments were based on investigations conducted over the last two years.

According to information from the First Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, Law has charges dating back to 1998, when he was convicted of second degree robbery. In 2002 and 2005 he was arrested on firearms possession charges, but those cases were dismissed. Other arrests and convictions include two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, which occurred in 2005 and 2006.

McReynolds was convicted of first degree possession of marijuana in 2003. Charges for the same offense from 2006 are pending. In 2006 he was convicted of resisting arrest. Trafficking charges are pending.
