St. Matthew pastor appreciation A Pastor Appreciation Day will be conducted on Sunday, June 3 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Matthew No. 1 Baptist Church in Manila. The Rev. and Mrs. Willie Causey will be the honored guests. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Robert Taylor, pastor of Antioch A.M.E. Methodist Church of Alma. Choir celebration at Springfield A.M.E. A choir celebration including the Rev. Clayton Davis and the Sounds of Joy, Saturday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. and Life Tech Gospel Chorus of Thomasville, Sunday, June 3 at 2:30 p.m. will be held at Springfield A.M.E. Zion Church. "All soloists, choirs and groups are encouraged to take part in songs of praise," said the Rev. Edward Seabron Sr., pastor. St. Union Missionary Baptist women's fellowship The Mission Department of the Saint Union Missionary Baptist Church of Leroy will be hosting a women's fellowship on Saturday, May 26, beginning at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Minister Georgia Nash and Sister Mary Ann Gibbs will be the guest speakers. There will be workshops, door prizes and lunch. The Rev. R.A. Chaney, pastor, encourages all to make plans to join the gathering. Stave Creek VBS registration Vacation Bible School will be June 11-15 from 5:45-8:30 p.m. at Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson.
Everyone is invited for early registration and homemade ice cream on Sunday, June 10 at 5:30 p.m.
