Kingsmen Quartet to sing at Pineview homecoming concert

Add legendary bass singer Ray Reese to three men of outstanding vocal talent, complement them with a live band and nestle them in the mountains of Asheville, N.C., and what do you get?

The award winning Kingsmen Quartet.

You don't have to go to North Carolina to see them, though. the southern gospel group is coming to Thomasville for homecoming services at Pineview Baptist Church in July.

Vocals for the Kingsmen are provided by Ray Reese, baritone Tony Peace, lead Phillip Hughes and tenor Jeremy Peace. Band members include Brandon Reese, Nick Succi and Grant Barker.

Reese has spent 37 years with the Kingsmen Quartet. He was voted America's Favorite Bass Singer in 1979 and 1985, and was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2000.

The traditional male quartet style singing and the vibrant band make for a wonderful combination that has withstood the test of time.

"The ministry is as fresh and exciting today as it has ever been," Ray Reese states.

"I see the Kingsmen ministry growing with the guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, coupled with the teamwork, dedication and integrity of this fine group of Christian men."

The concert will be an event of Saturday, July 28, at 6 p.m. Pineview Baptist Church is located on Highway 43 South in Thomasville at Moore Street (near radio station WJDB).

Tickets will go on sale June 1st at the church office, The Book Nook and The Kloset in Thomasville. They are $10 each for ages 4 and above. A nursery will be provided for children 3 and under.

The church phone number is 334-636-2405.
