Church Calendar Memorial Day at Antioch Baptist Memorial Day will be observed at Antioch Baptist Church, Sunday, May 27 at the regular service followed by a cemetery service and concluding with a covered dish lunch. Those with loved ones buried in the cemetery may send donations for the upkeep to Antioch Cemetery Fund, 71 Antioch Road, Grove Hill, AL 36451. Pastor's anniversary at Bethlehem Baptist The Bethlehem Baptist Church of Winn will celebrate the sixth year anniversary of Pastor Donald Sterling on Sunday, May 27 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. James Howard and the St. Union Missionary Baptist Church will be the special guests. Everyone is invited to attend. Jones Chapel memorial service Jones Chapel Church, located on Walker Springs Road, will host a special memorial service on Sunday, May 27 at the 11 a.m. service. Local servicemen will be honored with special music brought by the church choir, Southern Grace and Joshua Andrews. Lunch will be served at noon in the fellowship hall. Pastor Mark Williams invites everyone to attend and honor our servicemen. Greater Pilgrim Rest hosts benefit A benefit program will be held for Margleen Berry at the Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Walker Springs. Hosted by The Anointed Angels, the event will be Saturday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. All groups, choirs and soloists are invited said the Rev. Mulvoy Taylor Jr., pastor. Men and Women's Day at Lewis Grove The Lewis Grove Baptist Church will be celebrating Men and Women's Day on Sunday, May 27 at 2:30 p.m. Speaker for the event will be the Rev. Henry Gillis of James Chapel Baptist Church in St. Stephens. The community is invited to attend said Pastor Caesar Abston. Choir Day set at Mt. Olive No. 2 Mt. Olive No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church music department will celebrate an Annual Choir Day, Sunday, May 27 beginning with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. followed by morning worship at 11. At 2:30 p.m. the combined choirs of Mt. Olive No. 2 will be in concert. The first half of the concert will be a repeat performance of the Easter cantata, "His Last Days." A collection of spiritual songs will complete the program. The Rev. D.W. Moore, pastor, invites all to attend. Men's Day at Old St. Matthew No. 2 Old St. Matthew No. 2 Baptist Church of Choctaw Bluff will be holding their annual Men's Day program on Sunday, May 27 at 2 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Lonnie Weaver pastor of New Canaan Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. Dinner will be served and all men are requested to pay $100, visitors at will. Pleasant Grove Baptist homecoming Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on County Road 3 will have homecoming on June 3 at 11 a.m. Pastor Roger Keel will be the speaker. Zion Church of Mobile, will be the guest speaker at a Steward Day program, May 27, 3:30 p.m. at the Star of Zion A.M.E. Zion Church of Jackson. The Rev. Irmatine T. Chastang is pastor. Terry Hall in concert at Wagarville Baptist Terry Hall, singer of gospel music, will be in concert at the Wagarville Baptist Church May 26 at 7 p.m. This is a free event and everyone is invited to attend. Witch Creek Baptist Homecoming Homecoming at Witch Creek Baptist Church will be May 27 at 11 a.m. followed by lunch. Claude Agee will be the guest speaker. There will be singing in the afternoon with the Revelators and Mallorie Broadus. The Rev. Curtis Thomas, pastor, invites all to attend. 'Day of Praise' at Word of Truth The Word of Truth Fellowship Church in Jackson will be hosting its "Day of Praise" on Sunday, May 27 at 3 p.m. Special guests will be Pastor Kevin Boykin and the congregation of New St. Matthew Baptist Church in Jackson. Pastors Belinda and Marcus Kelley invite everyone to attend. St. Paul A.M.E. Men and Women's Day An annual Men and Women's Day is planned for June 3, 2 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Carlton. The Rev. T.L. Douglas, pastor at Grove Hill Baptist Church in Uriah and Mackey Branch Baptist Church in Gosport, will be the speaker. The Rev. Georgia P. Nash, pastor, and Clairetta H. Choir Night Celebration An annual Choir Night Celebration will be conducted on Saturday, June 2, 7 p.m. at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Bladon Springs. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Willie Causey, along with Shady Grove Baptist Church choir as the guest choir. The Rev. Robert L. Jackson, pastor, invites the public to attend. Men's conference 2007 The Men's Conference 2007 will be presented by Pastor Willie Shinn and Minister Estella Shinn of Trumpet Ministries No. 2. The theme for this event is "Men Making a Come Back!"
