     Jackson Academy Elementary Awards Day was held May 8. These students were presented awards for outstanding achievement during the school year. Kristin Donald was named Teacher of the Year during the program.

      Jeremy Roberts, son of Becky and Tom Roberts of Leroy, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in wildlife sciences at Auburn University, May 10, 2007. Roberts, a 2001 Leroy High School graduate, will be employed in Auburn with Erosion and Environmental Supply.

      Haley Noble, a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University on May 10, 2007 with a doctoral degree in audiology.

Troy University announces honor students
      Troy University has announced its honor students for spring semester, according to Dr. Ed Roach, senior executive vice chancellor and provost. Full-time undergraduate students who earned a grade-point average of 3.65 or higher on a 4.0 scale are recognized on the Provost's List.
